The second part of Dante's Divine Comedy follows the poet through Purgatory, where souls cleanse themselves of sin on seven terraces. Guided by Virgil, Dante meets penitents and reflects on pride, envy, and love. The terza rima and allegorical figures may challenge learners, but clear imagery and structured journey aid understanding for advanced readers.
