English books with Russian translation

Booklern has 1,093 English books with a Russian translation under every sentence, free to read in the browser, and any EPUB you upload reads the same way. Several classics carry a published human Russian translation aligned to the English sentence by sentence; the rest are translated as they are read.

How the Russian translation is shown

You read the English. Under each sentence, or in a column beside it, is its Russian translation, and a third setting hides it so you read English only. Hovering an English word highlights the Russian phrase it belongs to. A natural English voice reads the chapter aloud with the current sentence highlighted, and every word opens a dictionary card in Russian.

The interface itself is available in Russian at booklern.com/ru, with the same library and the same reader.

Books with a published Russian translation

A number of classics come as pre-aligned bilingual editions, where the Russian is a published literary translation rather than a machine one: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Romeo and Juliet, The Little Prince, The Canterville Ghost, Andersen's tales and others. They are marked "human translation" in the catalogue.

Every other book is translated sentence by sentence by an AI model the first time a page is read, and the result is kept, so the Russian you see has been produced once and stays stable.

Choose by level

Each book carries an estimated level. A2 and B1 hold the short tales and the first novels; B2 and C1 the long nineteenth-century classics. Russian speakers often begin with Russian classics in English, where a familiar story carries the reader through unfamiliar English.

Your own books in English with Russian translation

Upload an English EPUB or paste text, and it reads with a Russian translation under every sentence, the same audio and the same dictionary. Uploaded books are private. See how EPUB upload works.
